DC:0-5 Overview Training- Virtual

This 3 hour workshop will serve as an overview and general introduction to DC:0-5™
Diagnosis and classification of mental health and developmental disorders of infancy and early childhood (DC:0-5™) for the purpose of providing a foundation of this revised diagnostic classification system for professionals who need to understand how mental health and developmental disorders may
be identified and diagnosed in infancy and early childhood. This will promote familiarity with the
background, approach and content areas of the new DC:0-5 for infant and early childhood service
providers.

Agenda:

• Historical background of development of a diagnostic classification system for infants and young
  children (DC:0-3, DC:0-3R and the revision approach for DC:0-5)

• Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health and the importance of a diagnostic system that is
  sensitive to disorders in this age range.
• DC:0-5 approach to diagnostic formulation including an overview of the multiaxial framework
